Gnome 3.x Change Panel
To change color of gnome 3.x panel
$ vi /usr/share/gnome-shell/theme/gnome-shell.css
search for
/* Panel */
#panel {
background-color: black;
font-weight: bold;
height: 1.86em;
}
I changed
background-color: grey;
But I’m sure you could also try a
border-image: url("border.png");
and play with opacity .
save the file reload the gnome3 desktop by hitting
Alt+F2
then enter
r
hit
Enter
